Every season of building asks something different of us. This month we are looking at the practical side of that work: protecting what we are building, using new tools wisely, and finding the funding that helps good work go further. Alongside that, a look at what is coming on the calendar and what is new in the shop.

Grateful to be building alongside you, The Birthed of Hope Team

Clarity Strategy Sessions

Some seasons call for a strategist, not more information. Our Clarity Strategy Sessions are one-on-one conversations built for leaders and founders moving through transition, growth, or a decision that will not wait. No fluff, no generic frameworks pulled off a shelf. You leave with a structured plan and real next steps you can act on immediately.

This is the session for the leader who already knows something needs to shift but needs a strategist in the room to name it clearly and map the way forward.

Cybersecurity Tip

Turn On Multi-Factor Authentication

The single highest-impact step a small business can take to prevent account takeover is turning on multi-factor authentication for email, banking, and payment accounts. Even if a password is stolen, multi-factor authentication stops most break-in attempts cold.

Where possible, use an authenticator app or hardware key rather than text message codes, since text codes can be intercepted.

AI Safety Tip

Treat AI Chats Like a Postcard

Never paste client data, financial records, or passwords into a public AI chatbot. What you type may be stored or used to train the model. Use a business account with data retention turned off for anything sensitive.

Just as important: verify anything an AI tool tells you before you act on it. Confident does not mean correct.

Reflects NIST AI Risk Management Framework principles.

Operations Tip of the Month

Get It Out of Your Head and Onto Paper

Most small businesses run on information that lives only in the owner's head, how a task gets done, who to call, what the process actually is. That works until you're sick, busy, or trying to hand something off, and suddenly nothing moves without you.

Standard Operating Procedures, even simple ones, fix this. Write down your top three repeated tasks this month. That's the start of a system your business can run on.
